Description

Forestry has been experiencing a renaissance for years due to the extraction of renewable raw materials. The numerous BRUDER forest vehicles are supplemented by the new Scania timber transport truck to transport the extracted raw materials over longer distances on the road. 

The Scania truck, like the large model, is characterized by a loading crane mounted behind the driver's cab. The loading crane is equipped with a log grapple to back the logs. The log grapple can be locked in the open position. When a log is to be gripped, the log grapple is lowered onto it and the gripper closes automatically when it is touched in the middle. An example of the functionality of this truck. 

Further highlights are the extendable and lowerable crane supports, as well as the chains on the stanchions of the loading platform that are used to secure the load. Of course, the stanchions can also be folded down for loading the wood from the side. The truck can be unloaded at the rear by tilting the loading platform.
